An intentional practice that combines the fire and physicality of a Yang yoga practice with the cooling and restorative support of Yin. 3/4 of the class will be dedicated to engaging, strengthening, and clarifying the body. From the heat we will move to cooling and softening through longer holds of postures and a focus on deepening.
Leave feeling the effects of combining effort with surrender, movement with stillness, showing up with fully receiving. Powerful, open, and blissed out.
Erin Rose Ward strives to find out what it means to thrive and how to help others to do the same. Conscious movement, breath, and meditation are her access points to personal freedom as well as what she offers to the world.
Born and raised on the east coast, Erin defined herself early on as an athlete, spending most of her time on the basketball court, the lacrosse field, and the track. It was when she landed in Manhattan, NY for college at NYU that her world turned upside down. In the midst of battling intense anxiety, Erin found the yoga practice and never looked back. She took solace in intentional movement and patient, meditative breathing. The yoga practice took her out of the mind chatter and into her body - physically, emotionally, and energetically.
Inspired by the infinite healing capacity of ancient wisdom practices, Erin lives and serves as a 1000hr RYT yoga, meditation, breath work, and spiritual fitness teacher with a mission to make as big of an impact on as many lives as possible.
As a teacher and a writer, Erin looks for the weaving together of philosophy and practicality to foster a safe space for people to come, just as they are, move and breathe through whatever they're going through, and tap into something bigger than their personal story. In her opinion, the linking of breath and movement is a poetry that carries us to a higher state.
Erin teaches public, private, and online classes. She is trained as a spiritual psychology counselor, and leads both domestic as well as international wellness retreats. She is one of the lead teachers for The Class by Taryn Toomey method.
Erin currently lives in LA and has dreams of finding her perfect dog.
